Mød Richard Mwachiru, praktikant

My name is Richard Kiti Mwachiru and I come from Kenya. I am a third-year student studying Business Economics and IT at Copenhagen School of Design and Technology.

From the beginning I did not know in which department or line I should direct my internship to, since my course is very broad, and one can do a lot of things. Another struggle was finding the internship place considering that I am an international student. I asked my friend who recommended that I send my resume to the HR of GEODIS Denmark. Later on, I was granted an interview by my current Manager in Marketing & Communications, Christina Laugesen. Who gave me a chance to start my internship at GEODIS' Kastrup branch as a Marketing intern.

In my day to day work I support/collaborate with different departments, for example Business Development (BD), Operations, Human Resources (HR). It could be creating materials for Marketing/Sales, creating campaigns, creating and posting articles in our social media channels, i.e GEODIS Denmark Facebook page and LinkedIn.  Some of the tasks I have done or am still doing are Screen Publisher, Dream Broker, participation in a job fair, which was very successful in terms of the contacts and CVs collected, and last but not least I am working on a recruiting website for Denmark.

In short my days at GEODIS are so different and exciting since I am involved in different tasks and people. The culture of GEODIS is very international and friendly, which makes me feel a bit sad when thinking of the day my internship will be over.

GEODIS deltog på Tårnby-Dragør Jobmesse. Som virksomhed har vi mulighed for at mødejobsøgende og fortælle om vores forretning. En rigtig god event, og vi siger TAK tilTårnby og Dragør kommuner for invitationen!
