Branch Manager (Kastrup)

GEODIS Freight Forwarding is looking for a sales- and people oriented Branch Manager to our office in Kastrup. We can offer you a varied leadership position in an international environment. Your role

We are looking for a person with passion for leadership and customers. As Branch Manager, you work close to our customers as well as ensure the operational business in the branch. You are overall responsible for the branch including the staff, the work environment, operational business, financial results and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Branch Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Branch Management:

    • Conducting everyday leadership and act as a role model

    • Overall responsible to ensure that the work environment at the branch is according to rules and regulations

    • Facility management

    • Implement ISO processes locally

    • Manage budget & Key Performance Indicators

    • Conduct regular branch meetings

    • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed

  • Sales:

    • Participate in customer meetings together with our Business Development team

    • Commercial responsibility for specified customers

  • Profitability:

    • Responsible for meeting the budget as cascaded from Management

    • Monthly financial KPI follow up

  • The staff:

    • Direct staff responsibility

  • KPIs

    • Responsible for ensuring that Operational KPI’s as communicated by management are met

As Branch Manager you will get the opportunity to work closely with our customers and employees. You will manage and develop the business and operations further. In this role you cooperate with the Branch manager from our other office and report directly to the Managing Director Denmark.


Your background

To succeed in this role we believe that you have;

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience from freight forwarding and extensive knowledge about the logistics industry

  • Experience with working in a leadership role

  • Experience with working with and developing customers in a sales role in the logistics industry


Other requirements necessary for the role:

  • Good knowledge of IT systems and processes used in the industry

  • Financial knowledge and understanding of the business

  • High communication skills, both verbally and written, in English and Danish
